Clinical effect of Mefenamic acid syrup in Various Pediatric diseases

Abstract
|
|
|
Mefenamic acid is well known as the nonnarcotics and it´s effects are analgesic, antipyretic and antiinflammatory.
This study was made to comprehensively evaluate clinical effect of Mefenamic acid syrup for 35 various patients in with fever the department of pediatrics of the catholic medical college hospital.
Mefenamic acid syrup was given 0.8m1/kg/day in 4 divided doses for 3-5days.
Antipyretic effect was shown in 32 patients (91.4%), analgesic effect in 33(94.3%) and antiinflammatory effect in 29(82.9%).
